In 1993, the first Fisheries Enhancement Stamp was commissioned by Manitoba Fisheries Branch. Artist, Judy McInnes’s painting entitled “Manitoba Walleye” was reproduced onto every angling license sold. From 1994 to present, an Annual Fisheries Enhancement Stamp Artwork Competition has been held to select an original piece of artwork to be reproduced into a stamp for the annual angling license and numbered prints to promote angling in Manitoba.

29th Annual Fisheries Enhancement Stamp Artwork Competition

Win a Manitoba Fisheries Enhancement limited edition print!

Nominate your favourite artwork. All Manitobans are invited to vote online from September 25 through to October 16, 2020 for their favourite piece of artwork to select the People’s Choice award winner from this year’s subject matter – the Arctic Char. The competition received 20 entries and online voting will close at 4:00 pm, October 16, 2020.  All entries are available for viewing and voting at www.gov.mb.ca/fish-wildlife/fish-and-wildlife-enhancement-fund/index.html. The winning artwork, runners-up and People’s Choice Award will be announced later this year.

All voter’s names will be entered into a random draw to win a Manitoba Fisheries Enhancement limited edition print.  The limited edition print winner will be announced shortly after all voting has been completed.
