Recreational Fishing Bathymetry Mapping Project

#15-022: Recreational Fishing Bathymetry Mapping Project
Applicant: Conservation and Water Stewardship – Wildlife and Fisheries Branch
Funding: $41,520

To conduct sonar surveys on 25 popular angling lakes to enhance and develop bathymetry data for angling contour maps.

  • Stamp Competition

    The winning artist of the 28th annual Fisheries Enhancement Stamp Competition is Tom Jones with his artwork of the Freshwater Drum titled “Lake-Bottom Drummer.” An image of the artwork will be posted shortly.

    Subject matter has been selected for 2021 and 2022 competitions and is limited to artwork depicting the following species: Arctic Char (2021) and Channel Catfish (2022). Deadline date for submission of entry form is the first Friday in July of the competitions respective year; the deadline date for submission of artwork is the first Friday in August of the competitions respective year.
