The winning artist of the 28th annual Fisheries Enhancement Stamp Competition is Tom Jones with his artwork of the Freshwater Drum titled “Lake-Bottom Drummer.”
Subject matter has been selected for 2021 and 2022 stamps and is limited to artwork depicting the following species: Arctic Char (2021) and Channel Catfish (2022). Deadline date for submission of entry form is the first Friday in July of the competitions respective year; the deadline date for submission of artwork is the first Friday in August of the competitions respective year.

Nominate your favourite artwork from the 20 entries submitted for the 29th Annual Fisheries Enhancement Stamp Artwork Competition from September 25 to October 16, 2020. All voter’s names will be entered into a random draw to win a Manitoba Fisheries Enhancement limited edition print. The winner will be announced shortly after all voting has been completed.
Since 2015, the Fish and Wildlife Enhancement Fund (FWEF) has awarded over $3.2 million to fish enhancement projects; and since 2016, over $1.3 million has been award to wildlife enhancement projects. This is in addition to providing $850,000 annually to operate the Whiteshell Hatchery.
