In 1993 the first Fisheries Enhancement Stamp was commissioned by Manitoba Fisheries Branch. Artist, Judy McInnes’s painting entitled “Manitoba Walleye” was reproduced onto every angling licence sold. From 1994-present, a Fisheries Enhancement Stamp competition has been held to pick an original painting to be reproduced into a stamp for the annual angling licence and numbered prints. The Fisheries Enhancement Stamp is used to promote angling in Manitoba. Winning paintings from 1994-2017 can be viewed below along with the artist’s name and painting title by clicking here.
